Why You Have “Nothing” To Wear (& The Fixes)

That’s the joke, isn’t it? Women (and & yes this happens to men too!) have overflowing closets and yet still stares blankly into the textile abyss and with a big frustrated sigh saying, “I have NOTHING to wear!” Hilarious. Our clothes are not our enemy. The predicament we are in is all on us! Fortunately, we can avoid this if we could just find out WHY we are always feeling this way!

Capsule Wardrobe: The BUILD

Summer ushers in a season of trips, vacations, and adventures! So I thought it would be a great time to introduce the Capsule Wardrobe and challenge you to travel light this summer! In the past I used to over pack like I was going to be away twice as long as I was actually going for. I’m a girl who likes options, you know a different outfit everyday…gotta think of those photos! Today I have become a little more savvy and efficient when it comes to packing for a trip without sacrificing my choices.

Closet Detox

I live in a country with 4 seasons so twice a year I flip my closet to make it seasonally appropriate. I pull out my heavy knits and jackets in the fall and all my bright and airy clothes in the spring. But because I am a multi-tasker, I always take this opportunity to purge my closet of all the garments I don’t wear! I’m a chronic shopper so I constantly acquire new pieces every season and after a while, I’m storing all these items other people can put to better use. Time for a Closet Detox.

Black Friday Strategies

Black Friday is exactly 2 WEEKS away and lemmie tell you…ish is about to go down! Typically in the past I cross the border to take advantage of the American sales but in recent years the Canadians have caught on and decided to join in on the shopping madness. So for that reason and the fact the exchange rate is sucking ass for us right now, I’m shopping local. I’m just waiting for the day Canadian stores open their doors midnight for that authentic American experience! For you newbies, I have some strategies for you to get through the insanity that is BLACK FRIDAY!

Packing: Casual Weekend Away

This weekend I went up to the lake with some friends to pay our respects to the death of summer.  *Siiiiigh.  Since we are in-between seasons, I have to be prepared for the beach as well as the cool temperatures. September can’t figure out what the hell it wants to do!! Is it cool? Is it hot?

Get Through Airport Security Like A Pro

I am packing once again to go on another trip.  As excited as I am to lay in a breezy ocean-front hammock, drink in hand, I remember how much of a pain it is to get there.  In the airport, you can usually tell who are frequent travelers by the way they quickly cruise through without breaking a sweat or skipping a beat.  I like being efficient like that too!  Wouldn’t your rather kick back with a coffee, reading a book (or your guilty pleasure tabloid magazine) at your gate as you wait for your fellow passengers to get there?!  Well, here are some SUPER SIMPLE tips to help you get to your gate faster!

Packing Frenzy

I’m in PANIC MODE!  My Spain trip is quickly approaching and I can feel the pressure.  With 3 weeks left until take off, I started my packing process last Sunday.  I try to give myself no less than 3 weeks to gather all the things I’ll need so my head won’t start spinning as we come down to the wire.  So after having the initial overwhelming feeling for the task at hand, I take a deep breath and follow this guide to ease the stress…and to make sure I don’t forget anything.

I have been researching and planning and getting stressed and overwhelmed!!
