We are less
than 6 weeks away from Christmas. Yeah,
I said it. You know the time goes HELLA
fast this time of year! Before you know
it, we will be in 2015. AHHH!!!
You don’t
have to go out and buy a new holiday wardrobe if you don’t want to. Actually with all money you are spending on
presents, you probably shouldn’t. I have
some ideas how to glam up your current wardrobe to make it more
holiday-appropriate.
Bling Bling
Let your
bling take center stage to the backdrop of a LBD (little black dress) or any
other basic dress you already own. You are about to change up your style game
by stacking your jewelry. There is no one way to do it. Try mixing metals and
lengths and see which look works best for you. Not feeling the neck embellishments? Try some
shoulder sweeping earrings or jewel encrusted rings.
Mix & Mingle

Mix & Mingle
Take
advantage of the season’s textures and mix it up! Velvet & Lace? Leather
& sequins? Knits and satin? Whatever you may have, try combining cozy and
glam for that perfect holiday feel! Along with mixing textures, try pairing
novelty festive pieces like “ugly Christmas sweaters” or shiny blazers with
your classic pieces such as a basic trouser.

Sparkle
Bust out
anything shiny. Whatever glitter, sequin, metallic thing you have hiding in
your closet, this is the time to pull it out! This is the only time of the year where the twinkle and glow are appropriate for all occasions, day or night! You look like a disco ball? Perfect.

Your Face
Yes makeup
can make the rest of your outfit look more festive. The red lip is a classic
staple that can be edgy, & elegant all at once. I like going with a more vibrant red to make
things merry and bright! Deeper reds
give more of a cozy feel. If lip color isn't your thing, go for a statement eye. Remember when I said go sparkly? Yah that goes for makeup too!
Festive Colors
Color can definitely set the mood. When in doubt this season, pull pieces that are red, green, white, or metallic. Whether you make it an accent or a statement, these traditional festive Christmas colors are sure to please.
So like I said earlier, getting holiday outfits together doesn't need to break the bank! All my frugal people, you can definitely convert your current closet into a holiday wardrobe!
