Sephora Chic Week Picks Part I: Skin Care

My head always spin when their sales happen because there is SO MUCH STUFF I want to buy! So when I was thinking of what recommendations I can make, I looked through my stash and picked out my staples, things I use everyday, and some stand out items that blew me away.

I decided to split up this post. So in Part 1, I will give you my skin care picks!

JOSIE MARAN ARGAN INFINITY CREAM INTENSIVE CREAMY OIL

I always rave about this product. It is so versatile and worth the purchase. The thicker texture makes it easier to manipulate than the regular argan oil. I use it as a moisture treatment for hands and face, in my hair for some frizz control, as a barrier over a clean cut, as a lip balm, with loose powders to make cream products, as a natural highlight, to calm skin irritations, and the list goes on. Not to mention the citrus-y scent is wonderful! I never leave home without it!

OLE HENRIKSEN TRUTH SERUM VITAMIN C COLLAGEN BOOSTER

Over time, this evens out your skin tone and give you a glow! I noticed this difference in about a month. You can use this in conjunction with the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Vitamin C Youth Activating Oil which just amplifies the effect. It’s very light and easily absorbs into the skin.

GLAMGLOW MASKS

The hype is real! Bought the Christmas set on a whim last November and was BLOWN AWAY. I couldn’t believe the immediate results! I have yet to try the POWERMUD Dualcleanse Treatment and the Eye Masks.

SUPERMUD – this sucks out all the crap living in your skin. I leave this mask on for 45 mins - 1 hour and you can see all the oil and stuff coming out of your face! If you have larger pores they really tighten after this treatment! Just remember to follow this with an intense moisturizer or you will be even oilier the next day!

YOUTHMUD – Comparatively, the change I saw in my skin was less drastic than that of the Supermud. But I was still impressed! My complexion was radiant and the texture was smooth and even!

THIRSTYMUD – If you want supple skin, this is the one for you! I apply this like a moisturizer and wear it overnight. In the morning I can see how plush my skin is! I can’t believe my eyes. This is the moisturizing treatment I use after the SUPERMUD. I have eczema prone skin so this calms down all my rashes and dry spots. The coconut scent makes me crave for sweet treats!

PHILOSOPHY PURITY MADE SIMPLE CLEANSER

 I have been consistently been using this for more than 2 years now. Why? Because, as its name said, it’s simple. In one step your face is CLEAN. No more makeup removers and toners. It’s so gentle on your face! I rarely use make up remover any more except heavy makeup night when I can’t get right up to my bottom lash line.

PHILOSOPHY TAKE A DEEP BREATH OIL FREE ENERGIZING OXYGEN GEL CREAM MOISTURIZER

This is PERFECT for summer because it’s so light weight and still keeps your skin moisturized. I really notice a brighter complexion. My skin looks less tired and stressed out. if you get the one with the SPF 30, it will provide some protection from the elements.

These guys are known for having gentle yet effective formulations for sensitive skin. This everyday cream is perfect for all seasons for any part of your body. It helps with my dry patches, eczema, and other skin irritations. It easily absorbs into the skin and provides a clean slate to apply makeup. This is a simple, no fuss staple to have!

MURAD RAPID AGE SPOT & PIGMENT LIGHTENING SERUM

Rapid is no joke. I noticed lightening of an old pimple scar after 2 weeks of usage! Now I don’t think it lightened the overall skin on my face, just the random hyper pigmentation. After a couple months of usage, my face is bright and even, with the exception of my freckles…which I welcome.

ALGENIST MULTI-PERFECTING DETOXIFYING EXFOLIATOR

Not the most aggressive scrub I’ve used but it’s enough to get the job done. I typically scrub scrub scrub for about 2 minutes to let the ingredients work their magic. The next morning I wake up to a bright and super smooth face.








I play a serious game when it comes to my skin care. It is definitely much easier to prevent the signs of aging than repairing it. Unfortunately this investment can get pretty pricey which is why I tend to use these VIB sales to stock up on my essentials and to get some new products I want to try.
