Layering Necklaces

We are 10 days 'til Christmas!!! This is the perfect time of the year to bling yourself out! And I don’t mean you have to go out and grab new statement jewelry pieces. I have some ideas how to create new looks with pieces you probably already have.

The New Classic

The most popular method is layering dainty necklaces or bracelets. You still get that dimension of the layered look but the pieces are dainty enough that the look isn’t too overwhelming.  This suits everyone regardless of your style.

Hood Tingz

If you are feeling hella fierce, try channeling your 90’s rapper and get dem chains on! The chunkier and more outrageous, the better! This look isn't for everyone! It requires guts and a bold personality to pull off.

Texture

Try mixing up metallic, gems, feathers, fringe, etc. It adds more variation, depth, and interest. I find this to be a more unique look. So if you want to stand out, this is your best bet!

Bib on Steroids

You can definitely create a bib or a larger one by building on the lengths of your necklaces. The easiest way to do this is to build on a structured collar necklace like what you see above.

You can create a new look from your old necklaces. So if you haven't pulled them out in a while because they are outdated and tired, try reviving it with some modern pieces. There is not wrong way of doing this, just a simple trial and error. I realized I didn't include and color mixing. Whoops! Maybe In another post. But just test it out and see what works for you! Play Fearlessly!
