29 Things...Part II

I'm sure we have all seen our social media feeds showing us how our friends got engaged, got married, had a baby, bought a house, got promoted, working overseas, etc etc. And though we are so happy so see all our friends succeeding, when we get bombarded with all that stuff it makes us feel a little inadequate. This is why I like to make a list of the things I have done because it inspires gratefulness.

29 Things I have done:
1. Danced ‘til dawn in Ibiza - The sun literally came up
2. Snorkeled alongside wild sea turtles
3. Found my alcohol limit - It’s higher than I expected
4. Visited La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona - A childhood dream and a task on all the life lists I have ever made
5. Jumped off the 45’ cliff at Rick’s CafĂ© Jamaica
6. Road tripped from Toronto to Vegas - It took about 40 hours
7. Bought a rice rocket a la The Fast & The Furious
8. Became a Licensed Segway rider
9. I STARTED A BLOG
10. Performed on stage in front of small and large audiences
11. Turned some friends into family
12. Went horseback riding on the beach
13. Snowshoed and snowboaded
14. Dropped 4-5 pants sizes - It's not easy getting healthy when you love food so much
15. Toned down my aggression - I’m so much nicer now!
16. Explored some caves - I have walked, swam, & sailed through!
17. Climbed a Mayan pyramid in Coba
18. Rode Dumbo in Disney World
19. Ate with the locals where ever I went - I love educating my palette by introducing authentic cultural food
20. Immigrated to a different country
21. Toured Chichen Itza
22. Conquered EVERY rollercoaster that came my way
23. Hugged an ancient California redwood - It's pretty awesome to think a dinosaur probably brushed up against the same tree!
24. Dipped my toes in 2 oceans and 3 seas - Pacific, Atlantic, Philippine, Caribbean, Mediterranean
25. Visited the Grand Palladium Resorts 9 times in 4 countries since 2004 -Riviera Maya, Mexico x6; Lady Hamilton, Jamaica x1; Palace, Dominican Republic x1; Ibiza, Spain x1 (Puerto Vallarta, Mexico summer 2015)
26. Attended World Youth Day & came within 20 feet of Pope John Paul II
27. Earned my BHSc degree
28. Held a conscious conversation & held Lolo’s hand before he died
29. Came back stronger from every one of Life’s beat downs.

Once I really thought about it, it turns out I have done something with my life. I took opportunities to do new and exciting things. I worked really hard to achieve some of my goals. I took the time meet and get to know some incredible people. I live a life with purpose, to create a story worth telling.
